 CTIA Wireless 2004

Atlanta, GA., March 22, 2004 – infinigy engineering, a leading provider of design-driven wireless solutions for mobile communications and in-building network environments, announced today that they have been selected to deploy a turnkey neutral host wireless network in Concourse A, B and the C expansion of the Lindbergh Terminal of the Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport (MSP). The wireless network project, which began in January of this year, is expected to be online by June.

Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the nation, with more than 32.6 million travelers last year. The common-use, multiple carrier communication system will significantly improve wireless service and capacity within the concourse.

“The in-building wireless network is designed to provide transparent handoffs between the external macro network and the internal system. “Said John Stevens, CEO and president of infinigy engineering, “We are pleased to be working with the Concourse Communication Group to deliver seamless connectivity within the A, B and C Concourses.”

A neutral-host network operator, Concourse Communications Group specializes in managing wireless voice and data networks in airports. They manage the wireless communications services at MSP.

“Travelers expect to be able to use their wireless services while at the airport,” said Dick Snyder, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Concourse. “At the Minneapolis St. Paul Airport, currently ranked among the top five airports worldwide for overall customer satisfaction, we strive to make sure that happens.”

Infinigy engineering was selected to design, construct and deploy a neutral host distributed antenna system to provide iDEN, CDMA, TDMA, GSM and AMPS service for licensed wireless service providers within the three concourses. The network for the expanded C concourse includes gates C11-C27, concourses A and B, the Northwest Airlines World Club, the children’s play area, food courts and retail sites under the sky-lit rotunda.
